Getting started

What is Calatrix?

Calatrix is a profit-first Meta campaign management tool for Shopify merchants. It connects to your Meta Ads account and your Shopify store, calculates your real profit per campaign (revenue minus COGS and ad spend), and automatically pauses campaigns that fall below your thresholds — and scales up the ones that are working.

How long does setup take?

Most merchants are up and running in under 15 minutes. Connect your Meta account, install the Shopify app, enter your product costs, and activate your first kill rule. That's it.

Do I need technical skills?

No. Calatrix is built for performance marketers and e-commerce operators — not developers. If you can run a Meta campaign, you can configure Calatrix.

Does Calatrix work with all Shopify plans?

Yes. Calatrix works with all Shopify plans, including Basic, Grow, and Advanced.

Kill rules

What is a kill rule?

A kill rule is a condition you define — for example "pause this campaign if ROAS drops below 1.8x after $50 in spend." Calatrix checks this condition on a schedule and automatically pauses the campaign if it's met.

What metrics can I use in kill rules?

You can set thresholds on ROAS, CPC, CTR, spend, sales count, and profit margin. Rules can require a minimum spend before they activate, so a campaign isn't killed before it has meaningful data.

Does Calatrix automatically pause my campaigns?

Yes — when a campaign crosses your kill rule threshold, Calatrix pauses it via the Meta Ads API. You receive a log entry for every action taken. You can also dismiss a recommendation if you want to keep a campaign running manually.

How often do rules run?

On Starter, rules run every hour. On Scale and Pro, rules run every 15 minutes, so a crossing campaign is paused within one check interval.

Can I pause a rule without deleting it?

Yes. Every kill rule has an active/inactive toggle. Inactive rules are evaluated but no actions are taken.

Scaling

What are scale rules?

Scale rules are the mirror image of kill rules. When a campaign exceeds your ROAS or profit targets, Calatrix can automatically increase the daily budget by a percentage you define.

What does "retest" mean?

When Calatrix pauses a campaign, you can mark it for retest. Calatrix will re-enable it after a period you choose and evaluate it again — useful for testing whether performance recovers.

Profit & Shopify

How does Calatrix calculate real profit?

Calatrix pulls actual order revenue from Shopify and matches it to Meta campaign UTMs. Then it subtracts your COGS (cost of goods sold) and ad spend to give you true profit per campaign — not just Meta's reported ROAS.

What Shopify data does Calatrix use?

Order revenue, product variants, and inventory costs. Calatrix does not access customer names, emails, or addresses.

Can I use Calatrix with multiple Shopify stores?

The Scale plan supports 2 Shopify stores. The Pro plan supports unlimited stores. Each store connects to its own Meta ad account(s).

Security & privacy

Is my Meta access token secure?

Yes. Access tokens are encrypted at rest using AES-256 and are never exposed in the UI or logs.

Does Calatrix store my customers' personal data?

No. Calatrix uses Shopify order revenue figures and UTM attribution — it does not store customer names, email addresses, or any personal data about your shoppers.

Is Calatrix GDPR compliant?

Yes. Calatrix is a Shopify partner and handles all GDPR data requests and deletion requests as required. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Plans & billing

Is there a free trial?

Yes — every plan includes a 14-day free trial, no credit card required. You get full access to whichever plan you choose from day one.

Will I be charged automatically when the trial ends?

Only if you add a payment method. The trial starts without a card — nothing happens at day 14 unless you actively choose to subscribe. There are no surprise charges.

How does billing work?

Calatrix bills monthly via Stripe. Annual billing is also available at a discount — select it when you subscribe or switch from the Settings page. All major credit and debit cards are accepted.

What happens on the Starter plan if I exceed 100 kill events?

Each kill event beyond the 100 included per month is billed at $0.10. A kill event is an actual campaign pause — not a check. Most Starter merchants stay well within the limit, but if you run high-volume campaigns you can upgrade to Scale for unlimited kills at any time.

Can I switch plans?

Yes. Upgrade or downgrade at any time from Settings. Changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.

What if my payment fails?

Stripe will retry the charge automatically over the following days. Your account stays active during retries. If the payment remains unpaid after the retry window, your subscription will be paused until you update your card in Settings.

What if I cancel?

You can cancel at any time from Settings — no need to contact us. Your access and all your data continue until the end of the current paid period. Nothing is deleted automatically.

Do you offer refunds?

We handle refund requests case by case. If something went wrong on our end, email support@calatrix.com and we'll sort it out.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

Your campaign history, kill logs, and settings are retained for 90 days after cancellation. You can resubscribe within that window and pick up exactly where you left off. After 90 days, data is permanently deleted.
